Ingredients of Dahi Bhindi Recipe
2-1/2 cups lady finger/okra chopped (bhindi)
1 cup low fat curd (dahi)
1 tsp oil
1 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp besan (bengal gram flour)
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tsp mustard seeds (sarson)
1/8 tsp asafoetida (hing)
1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
salt to taste
How to prepare Dahi Bhindi Recipe
1. Clean and cut the bhindi/okra to 1 inch long pieces and steam them for 7 to 8 minutes till they get soft. Keep them aside for now.
2. Add besan, coriander powder, chilli powder, salt to curd and mix them well. keep aside.
3. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and asafoetida. When the seeds began to crackle, add steamed bhindi and curd mixture and bring it to boil on high flame.
4. Lower the flame when cooked, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
